Aries and Scorpio compatibility
Mesha and Vrishchika rashi milan · मेष और वृश्चिक
In Vedic guna milan, an Aries (Mesha) and a Scorpio (Vrishchika) Moon sign score 6 / 7 of the 15 points that depend on the signs alone (the first figure when the man is an Aries); with both birth stars the total runs from 12 to 24.5 of 36, and 42% of star pairs reach the classical minimum of 18.
The sign points (15 of the 36)
| Koota | Out of | Aries man, Scorpio woman | Scorpio man, Aries woman |
|---|---|---|---|
| Varna | 1 | 0 | 1 |
| Vashya | 2 | 1 | 1 |
| Graha maitri | 5 | 5 | 5 |
| Bhakoot | 7 | 0 | 0 |
| Sign points | 15 | 6 | 7 |
Both signs are ruled by Mars: Graha maitri gives its full 5 points.
The 6th and 8th from each other (shadashtak): classically a Bhakoot dosha, read for friction and patience, so Bhakoot gives 0 of 7. A classical exception applies: both signs have the same lord.
Varna and Vashya depend on who is the groom and who is the bride, so the two directions differ.
With the birth stars (out of 36)
Each sign holds nine nakshatra padas: the full Ashtakoota (North Indian tables) for all 81 combinations.
| Aries man, Scorpio woman | Scorpio man, Aries woman | |
|---|---|---|
| Lowest | 12 | 12 |
| Highest | 24.5 | 24.5 |
| Average | 17.4 | 18.0 |
| 18 or more (the classical minimum) | 30% | 54% |
| Nadi dosha | 41% | 41% |
18 is the classical minimum, 25–32 is good. Nadi dosha has classical exceptions too; the full match shows them.
Match the two full kundlis
The signs decide only 15 of the 36 points. With both dates, times and places of birth: all 36 points, the Nadi and Bhakoot exceptions, Manglik and the likely marriage windows, free.
Aries with every sign
Scorpio with every sign
These are Moon signs (rashi), the sign the Moon was in at birth, which Vedic matching uses; a Western Sun sign is usually a different sign. Find your Moon sign. Guna milan is one input; a marriage is decided by the full charts, the families and your own judgement.
